Lockheed Martin is famous for its exacting technology ranging from the Mars Pathfinder to nuclear submarines, but most people are not aware of their fastest growing division, Lockheed Martin IMS (Information Management Systems). This half billion-dollar enterprise selected Axon Computers as its PC supplier in support of its welfare reform services projects in Florida.

"Our project team chose Axon to replace our Tier 1 vendor because we were tired of unresponsive service and the national brand's failure rate. We discovered that Axon produces a higher quality PC and backs it up with a level of service that we at Lockheed expect", comments Camille Brockman, Project Director, Pinellas Welfare Reform Project. Regarding her first encounter with an Axon PC, Ms. Brockman said, "I was impressed with my Axon from the start, but I had never heard of the brand despite my heavy experience in Silicon Valley. I was surprised and pleased when I later learned that they are manufactured by disabled citizens at a vocational rehabilitation organization."

Lockheed Martin IMS has become the nation's largest government contractor for welfare reform services, highway toll collection administration and child support collection. Their winning philosophy is that if the government has a problem, whether putting a spacecraft on Mars or a person to work... Lockheed is the solution. According to Ms. Brockman, "Axon fits in very nicely with our business plan. Not only are they dependable technology, but mentioning Axon in certain proposals can give us that competitive winning edge."
